Effective 22 September 2026. This policy covers Protexa Property Services and this website. We are a small Ottawa contractor. We collect what we need to come and look at your property, and nothing else.
What the quote form collects
The form at /quote asks for:
- your first and last name
- your phone number
- your email address
- the property address
- which service you want quoted, and roughly how old the roof or surface is
- anything you type in the message box
- up to three photographs, if you choose to attach them
Photographs are resized in your browser before they are sent. We also record which page you were on when you sent the form, so we know what you were reading.
Why we collect it
To arrange the visit and to price the estimate. The phone number and email are how we reach you about that estimate. We do not send marketing, and there is no mailing list to be added to.
Where it goes
When you send the form, an automation picks it up and does three things:
- texts the details to the owner, through Twilio
- emails the details to the owner, through Resend
- logs the lead in a private Google Sheets spreadsheet
The automation itself runs on n8n. Those four providers process the information on our behalf and may store it outside Canada. We do not sell it, rent it or pass it to anyone else.
Analytics and the tags on this site
- Vercel Web Analytics. Counts page views and the few actions that matter to us: a quote form started, a form sent, a tap on the phone number, a click on a quote button. It does not use cookies and does not follow you to other sites.
- Google Analytics 4. Loaded only when a measurement id is configured for the site. When it is on it sets its own cookies and reports to Google.
- Leadsy. A visitor-identification tag. It attempts to match a visit to a business identity so we can see which companies have looked at the site. If you would rather it did not run, block
r2.leadsy.aiin your browser, in an ad or tracker blocker, or in your DNS. The site works normally without it.
Cookies
The site itself does not set cookies to track you. Google Analytics 4 sets cookies when it is enabled, and the Leadsy tag may. Your browser settings control both, and blocking them does not break anything here.
How long we keep it
As long as needed to provide the estimate and any follow-up, and deleted on request. Ask and we will remove your details from the spreadsheet and confirm.
Your rights under PIPEDA
Canada’s federal privacy law gives you the right to:
- ask what we hold about you and get a copy
- have anything wrong corrected
- withdraw your consent, which means we stop contacting you and delete what we hold
We answer these ourselves. If you are not satisfied with how we handled it, you can take the complaint to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Contact us
Email info@protexaservices.com or call (343) 340-0252. If you would rather not use the form at all, either of those works just as well for booking an estimate.
Changes
If we change what we collect or who processes it, we update this page and the effective date at the top. The terms of use cover the rest of your use of this site.
